Hi Jordi. I cannot get that new version to work. Following upgrade, tinyproxy stops working. The installer moves the configuration files around, and the proxy no longer shows a listening port. netstat -a no longer shows a listening port for tinyproxy The configuration files for application programs should be stored in a subdirectory of /etc, rather than directly in the /etc directory. Rationale This enables the application directory to be used as a shared network resource without the need to share the whole of the /etc directory. So /etc/tinyproxy/tinyproxy.conf is preferred over /etc/tinyproxy.conf for a configuration file. Anyhow, I do a bit of manual configuration jiggery pokery, and get the configuration file back to normal, and I now manage to get the listening port to show in netstat. However, there is a problem. The remote host cannot connect to the port: netstat -a reveals: tcp 0 0 localhost.localdom:8888 *:* LISTEN On the old version this read: tcp 0 0 *:8888 *:* LISTEN I think the localhost.localdom entry is preventing the remote host from connecting to the proxy, so I have not been able to conduct any operational tests. The browser now errors with: Proxy Server Refused Connection The connection was refused when attempting to contact the proxy server you have configured. Please check your proxy settings and try again. Mark. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
