Does "file->reload remote calendars" do any good?
Sunbird is dead upstream so there's little help of getting this fixed. Could you try reproduce with iceowl-extension/lightning? This way we could forward the issue upstream since lightning is still being developed. Any help in forwarding these kind of issues upstream (and iceowl/iceowl-extension bug handling in general) upstream would be greatly appreciated.
