Well, if I understand correctly what you previously said
(http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=498529#68), it is
gcc-4.4 which has the problem with the license.  Using gcc-4.3 leads to
no problem.  Is that right?  Then, let's just use gcc-4.3, it is just a
matter of modifying a few letters in debian/control.

I am pretty sure that it is a temporary problem, which will be solved by
recompilation.  I did not know that it is currently holding up many
transitions, I didn't even imagine that.  It is only ekiga which depends
on opal, and latest ekiga is already in testing.
http://release.debian.org/migration/testing.pl?package=opal does not
show any package.  I am a new DM, please tell me what transitions opal
is currently holding.  I will take the time to fix that in it is true.
