in order not to be forgotten I'm creating this report in BTS. I copy the description of the feature we are talking about from http://lists.alioth.debian.org/pipermail/dbconfig-common-devel/2010-March/thread.html -- a discussion that somehow stalled. By multisite I mean: many sites can use the package, because each site uses an alias to the same codebase but different databases to "fuel" the application.
