Yesterday I had the same experience too, until I found, what the OP
is talkimng about: check the "active" element shown separated in middle:
copper: The "u" is not fully visible. At least I guess this is, what
the OP is talking about.

But: The thing is, gelemental has no active upstream. Even the site
can't be reached anymore since a long time. The gnome-chemistry-utils
also ship a PSE with the same, maybe even some more data (both gelemental
and gcu use bodr as data source). Maybe we should get rid of gelemental
(in the long term)?
