But unfortunately I can not accept your patch. Because yc.el does not work well in Emacs23. You can input hirakana. Then you change from hirakana to kanji. You can't see Kanji characters. You have just seen mean-less characters which are kind of scrambled characters. Most Japanese say "mojibake". I sent some information for upstream. And I tried to see source code.
