It think it's mostly ok. The only problem is that other package might depend on -records in order to access the contacts/notes python API and their dependency might be not enough anymore to ensure this. Syncing this change in Ubuntu will thus require a review and maybe some other updates. You might want to review this in Debian at least for now. Or you might want to have a transitional/dummy -records package depending on both packages to offer a smooth upgrade path for Ubuntu.
