As I simplify the code, there seems to be bits of libept that makes
sense to keep; for example, the code to parse debtags information (tags,
vocabulary), or the code to locate the Xapian index.

So I guess point 4 should read:

>  4. goto 2, until all of libept code is actually used, cannot be
>     simplified any further and can be documented in one afternoon's
>     work
