Package: util-linux
Version: 2.16.2-0
Severity: wishlist

It's been over 12 years already since cfdisk is built against
libslang. It can be built either againt libncurses or libslang.
The interface it shows is basically the same.

Reasoning:

o libslang2 can be made optional, since the only reason why
it is currently marked as "required" is due to the fact
that it is used by util-linux package. On all my systems
for example, cfdisk (util-linux) the only user of libslang.

o to my taste anyway, ncurses interface looks more usual,
since it uses the same interface as many other screen-based
programs uses (editors, file browsers and even dpkg
frontends like dialog). I even used to rebuild util-linux
packages a while ago to replace slang with ncurses.

This is just a (small) wishlist. People has their own
preferences for such things, mine is with ncurses, but
sure thing others may disagree.

Thank you!

/mjt
