I can't get my diamondcard account to register. If I adjust the account
to trigger a new registration attempt, I get a status-bar message to the
effect "Could not register sip:<account>@sip.diamondcard.us". However, I
do seem to be able to use the account as I can use their echo test (not
Ekiga's) and account balance service and have made a call to my land
line as sip:<telephone #>@sip.diamondcard.us.
The reason I've rated this bug as normal and not minor is that I've
spent a lot of time trying to get the account to register before
discovering it wasn't (apparently) necessary. I'm guessing others will
probably take some time to figure it out too.
My Ekiga.net account does show as registered, but another service I've
got an account with doesn't. I'm not sure if this is the same bug
because I haven't tried to use it.
Thank you for the bug report. I do not have a diamondcard account. Are
you sure the REGISTER is not needed? At
http://wiki.diamondcard.us/podwiki?page=EkigaPhone (search for
"register") they write about registering.
When you pass a call through diamondcard, could you start ekiga with -d
4, call, and send me the output?
ekiga -d 4 2>output
See

more information.
