xmodmap - <<\EOF remove lock = Caps_Lock EOF nor echo remove lock = Caps_Lock | xmodmap - and probably also xset r rate 250 30 m 5 7 work anymore when put in a user's .xsession file. They used to work fine under xdm. Now one must run them by hand after the x session has started.
