*Hey. I checked up on the method you mentioned, however, when you start the gksu-server and restart gksu-polkit it does not seem to solve the problem. The same CPU-max-usage problem already mentioned by **Francesco Fumanti still continues to exist. however for my case (Intel x86 T9300) there is no need for -9 parameter to kill the gksu-polkit process. besides if I merely end the process through System Monitor on Ubuntu Lucid Lynx 10.04, I will have a new gksu-polkit started with the CPU problem already vanished!
