That's an extremly short trace; I'd nevertheless suspect a problem with signatures. Could you please try to purge all the contents of the /var/lib/clamav directory, reinstall the clamav-base package (using, e.g., apt-get --reinstall install clamav-base) and restart freshclam. Best, Michael
