Asterisk bugs #17277 and #16936 lead to sporadic registration failures (because the registration is not attempted timely and thus times out at the registrar). I confirm that rebuilding the package from deb-src with the patch from upstream bug report #17277 applied fixes this (another user confirmed this in #16936). Upstream version 1.6.2.8 also contains the fix. Please upgrade to 1.6.2.8 if possible. Thank you.
