When trying to format a disk (either ext2 or ext3) I get mkfs.ext3 /dev/sdc1 mkfs.ext3: /lib/libblkid.so.1: version `BLKID_2.17' not found (required by mkfs.ext3) libblkid1 is up to date on my system.
