It took me over an hour to get network printing via socket:// url working with cups.
Eventually found the D [19/Jun/2010:12:41:12 +0200] [Job 274] /usr/lib/cups/backend/socket:Permission denied line in error_log and this bug entry. After setting g+rx,o+rx on /usr/lib/cups/backend I could finally print on the socket:// URL. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble?
