Package: groff-base Version: 1.18.1.1-7 Severity: wishlist Hello,
There was recently some work to get a manpage translated into vietnamese (find.1), so that we can see what are the necessary steps to achieve this task. The result is that the translation chain (mostly, gettext and po4a) is working, but the existing groff cannot deal properly with the produced manpage. Bruno Haible thus hacked a utf8-ready groff, and I would like to see it integrated, if possible. The relevant code can be fetched from: http://www.haible.de/bruno/packages-groff-utf8.html If you have any question, I'd be glad to help if I can. Thanks for your time, Mt. PS: yeah, this machine is ubuntu instead of kosher debian, but I'm sure this does not make any difference for that issue... -- System Information: Debian Release: 3.1 Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.10-5-386 Locale: LANG=fr_FR.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages groff-base depends on: ii libc6 2.3.2.ds1-20ubuntu13 GNU C Library: Shared libraries an ii libgcc1 1:4.0-0pre6ubuntu7 GCC support library ii libstdc++5 1:3.3.5-8ubuntu2 The GNU Standard C++ Library v3 -- no debconf information
