Yes, Maildir support has been dropped from UW-imap as announced in the NEWS file of 8:2007b~dfsg-2.
Unfortunately this will *not* be "corrected" as Maildir support was not part of the main UW-imap and the patch to implement this feature was never released as DFSG-free code (i.e. it was wrong of me to apply it in the first place).
