Apparently this was already discovered in Ubuntu at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/evince/+bug/578996, which says this was fixed in the commit at http://git.gnome.org/browse/evince/commit/?id=182e12aed96d302f78f52c16b52b8f3c2784d415.
