A reference to the LSB specification of the init script is relevant but, if Debian deviates from LSB in any way then reference to the relevant Debian policy should also be included and/or the deviations should be documented in the man page. For example, it appears Debian squeeze uses insserv rather than install_initd and remove_initd to activate and deactivate init scripts. Are there other differences?
While the references to LSB and Debian policy are helpful, there should be enough information in the man page to manage a system without reference to the Internet. -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to debian-bugs-dist-requ...@lists.debian.org with a subject of "unsubscribe".
