Sorry to say this, but my error happens in the same manner and in the same condition as Peter's and Vadim's ones. I think it is releated to symlink as my debuging shows, so it is probably releated to #550704. Installing version 1.98+20100710 from unstable solved problem, ans grub-probe correctly resolve device for /, and whole problem is solved. Please make it transit fast to the testing.
