Hi folks, I've upgraded from xl2tpd version 1.2.0+dfsg-1 (lenny) to 1.2.6+dfsg-1 (squeeze) and had the very same problem.
the newest version puts on log: xl2tpd[22973]: "192.168.252.1:0.0.0.0" where the old one reported: xl2tpd[22973]: "192.168.252.1:192.168.252.10" Think that xl2tpd is not using the "ip range" parameter since it acts exactly the same if I omit it from my config.
