My upstream for Pyrit has re-confirmed GPLv3+ with OpenSSL linking exception with both of the original authors mentioned above, and has updated his source file[2]: If aircrack-ng's upstream can confirm that all contributions present in there version are covered by Pyrit's version, they could update their licensing terms with that information. Of course, it would probably be easier to just directly contact the authors and confirm, as my upstream did.
