I've forwarded this bug upstream, to http://projects.puppetlabs.com/issues/4407 More information about the bug is needed, specifically the version of "facter" used. If you don't remember the version, do you remember if your system was at that time running the unstable distribution, testing (lenny) or stable (etch) at that time, and if you were running "puppet" and "facter" from this distribution?
