Hello,
I use iceape/iceweasel on a sparc64 workstation and I'm unable to
use iceape or iceweasel to navigate on http://www.persee.fr/web/guest/home.
If I try to click on 'scientific journals' (red button), both iceape and
iceweasel crash with a bus error. Of course, all test have been done without
any plugins.
I have tried to debug with iceape-dbg without any success.
Did you try the instructions from /usr/share/bug/iceweasel/presubj ?
Nope, I have tried with iceape-dbg.
Could you try going in about:config, filter on "jit" and disable both
prefs that will show up and try again see if it gets better?
Jit is disabled because I have to disable it to successfully build
seamonkey.
about:buildconfig returns :
--enable-application=suite
--prefix=/export/home/bertrand/seamonkey/install
--with-default-mozilla-five-home=/export/home/bertrand/seamonkey/install
--enable-default-toolkit=cairo-gtk2 --enable-pango --enable-system-cairo
--with-system-jpeg --with-system-zlib --with-system-nspr
--with-system-nss --enable-svg --enable-mathml --disable-pedantic
--disable-long-long-warning --enable-gnomevfs --enable-gnomeui
--disable-tests --disable-mochitest --disable-debug --enable-canvas
--enable-extensions=default,-venkman,-inspector --disable-installer
--disable-updater --disable-javaxpcom --disable-elf-dynstr-gc
--enable-system-hunspell --disable-crashreporter --enable-system-sqlite
--disable-strip --disable-install-strip --enable-startup-notification
--enable-crypto --host=sparc-linux-gnu --enable-application=suite
--disable-debug --enable-optimize --disable-jit
--enable-application=../suite --disable-official-branding
--with-branding=../suite/branding/nightly --disable-debug
--enable-optimize --cache-file=.././config.cache
--srcdir=../../comm-1.9.1/mozilla
Nevertheless, there are three jit references in config page. I've
disabled these options without any result. Seamonkey always crashes.
Regards,
JKB
