Package: bsdmainutils Version: 8.0.13 Severity: normal It really sucks, when cal puts Sunday to the beginning of the week. That is not the way do here in Finalnd. ncal can put Monday to the beginning of the week, but I really do not like that "vertical" format of that output. I can use gcal and it can put Monday to beginning of the week, but it has no message catalogs in Finnish language, yet.
I agree: It would be nice, if ncal had some option that make it use that "horizontal" output format familiar from plain cal. That way all existing scripts will not break and standards like POSIX are not violated. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers stable APT policy: (1100, 'stable'), (990, 'testing'), (500, 'testing-proposed-updates'), (500, 'proposed-updates'), (102, 'stable'), (101, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=fi_FI.utf8, LC_CTYPE=fi_FI.utf8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages bsdmainutils depends on: ii bsdutils 1:2.17.2-3.1 Basic utilities from 4.4BSD-Lite ii debianutils 3.4 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libncurses5 5.7+20100313-2 shared libraries for terminal hand bsdmainutils recommends no packages.
