Package: vidalia Version: 0.2.9-1 Severity: normal Configuring vidalia -------------------
1. No
2. Yes (just for now)
3. Yes (and disable it for every boot)
Let Vidalia start Tor after stopping existing Tor process:
So, the problem with this question is that it doesn't explain
*why* one might want to pick any of the choices. Coupled with their being
no default choice, and this apparently frobbing tor's config in /etc,
I think this question manages to be maximally offputting to new user and
experienced Debian users alike.
(Data point: The first time I saw this, I responded with ctrl-c; dpkg --purge)).
If we wanted to include vidalia in some sort of tor task, this question
would nix that.
One way to approach this, which would be d-i/tasksel friendly, would be
to have a vidalia package that defaults to not stopping tor, and then
a tor-desktop or vidalia-desktop package that tweaks both the vidalia
and tor configs as if this question had been answered "yes".
