Hi, the mailgraph package does not send any default configuration for Lighttpd (nor for any other web server, given it is only a .cgi located in a common place).
I cannot find with which package the file you refer to is shipped. Do you know where this file comes from? I propose to ship a sample lighttpd configuration file with the mailgraph package, stored in /usr/share/doc/mailgraph/examples, as well as a note in README.Debian. What do you think of this proposal?
