I've installed it. Last.fm's new player is no test case nowadays, so I tried the only flash add on the register I could find, and I had no problem with that one, but the test might not be conclusive. I browsed randomly through some websites using flash, allways looking at the memory usage, and I couldn't find any problem. Thus, without much certainty, I would say that the version in experimental fixes the problem. In the meantime, if anyone else finds an use case where testing's gnash fails, I will be happy to try it with experimental's version.
