Package: hobbit
Version: 4.2.0.dfsg-14lenny3
Severity: wishlist
hobbit has the (by default disabled) option to warn about bigger
system clock offsets on monitored machines.
Unfortunately the implementation is incomplete and not really
very intuitive:
a) It is displayed in the CPU column. IMHO It should either have its
own column ("clock" or so) or be included in the "ntpq" column
where I looked for it first.
b) It is not possible to assign a value at which the warning level
should go red -- only yellow is possible. It even doesn't argue if
you provide two values, but the second one is ignored and higher
clock offsets still result in only a yellow state.
c) Documentation (correctly) states that you can only give one value
to CLOCK in hobbit-clients.cfg, but it is not documented what the
effect respectively color of values above the given limit will be.
(It results in a "yellow" state.)
