If you've got the time, could you please test your configuration with
the 2.6.1~rc3 currently in experimental? If this fixes the problem, we
can cherry-pick the fix from there.
I'll also downgrade the severity of this bug a notch", since it does not
fit the description of "grave". It's bug of "important" severity, but
it does make the package unsuitable for release, hence the "serious".
