Package: libcairo2 Version: 1.8.10-5 Severity: normal When using roxterm or gnome-terminal with libcairo2 1.8.10-5, after a short time the text doesn't display immediately when typing it anymore, it somewhat leaves the impression that I'm typing through ssh with a dial-up connection. This also happens when scrolling with the mouse, the screen is not updated smoothly.
This happens only with version 1.8.10-5 of libcairo2, I downgraded to 1.8.10-4 and this does not happen with that version. I'm not able to tell exactly how to reproduce this: when I launch a terminal and type something in it there seems to be no problem at first, then I open a few more terminals, launch one or two programs and suddenly the terminals are lagging behind. However I downgraded to 1.8.10-4, then upgraded again to 1.8.10-5, then downgraded again to 1.8.10-4, without modifying anything else, so I'm quite certain that this comes from libcairo2 1.8.10-5. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers unstable APT policy: (990, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Kernel: Linux 2.6.36-rc2-00237-gd4348c6 (SMP w/4 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_US.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=fr_FR.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash Versions of packages libcairo2 depends on: ii libc6 2.11.2-2 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libfontconfig1 2.8.0-2.1 generic font configuration library ii libfreetype6 2.4.2-2 FreeType 2 font engine, shared lib ii libpixman-1-0 0.16.4-1 pixel-manipulation library for X a ii libpng12-0 1.2.44-1 PNG library - runtime ii libx11-6 2:1.3.3-3 X11 client-side library ii libxcb-render-util0 0.3.6-1 utility libraries for X C Binding ii libxcb-render0 1.6-1 X C Binding, render extension ii libxcb1 1.6-1 X C Binding ii libxrender1 1:0.9.6-1 X Rendering Extension client libra ii zlib1g 1:1.2.3.4.dfsg-3 compression library - runtime libcairo2 recommends no packages. libcairo2 suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
