It appears that the copyright file is out of sync with the current bits and needs to be updated. The /usr/share/doc/subversion/copyright file says: Source was downloaded from: http://subversion.tigris.org/downloads/subversion-1.4.2.tar.gz And yet it must have been 1.6.12 instead. Probably this instead: http://subversion.tigris.org/downloads/subversion-1.6.12.tar.gz The dates in the copyright file say 2000-2004 CollabNet while the 'program --version' and the project COPYING file both say 2000-2009 CollabNet.
