Hello Neil,

You missed the point about AUTHORS, the problem is that the word
itself is not translated in the generated manual page.  For instance
in French, we want to have
  .SH AUTEURS
instead of
  .SH AUTHORS

xsltproc is able to produce translated section names in manual pages,
but only if it knows in which language the XML document is written.
This is why David added lang="en"; po4a will extract this attribute,
then translating
  msgid "en"
  msgstr "fr"
in fr.po will add lang="fr" in French translated XML file, and
xsltproc will provide fully translated manual pages.

Please note that AUTHORS is not a good example here, it won't be
translated in French just now because of #594649, you may try with
AUTHOR instead if you want to test.
