When trying to awake, the GUI does not come up. The screen remains black whils the upper parts becoming a bit brighter than the lower part. Login via network an restarting the GUi (/etc/init.d/kdm restart") works. There is no reaction to any key strokes. Resume is quite useless like this. with lenny I used hibernate-ram which worked perfectly for me. On Squeeze/testing this shows the same broken behavior described above.
