Note that 3186865733632 / (4*2^30) = 3186865733632/4294967296 = 742, which is
the correct size of the file :
$ tar tvfz pax_20090728.orig.tar.gz | grep Makfile
-rw-rw-r-- root/root 742 2009-07-28 19:38 pax-20090728/Makefile
Recompiling pax after adding the CFLAGS+=-DLONG_OFF_T correct the problem.
