Both gdm3 (which provides fast-user-switch-applet) and
indicator-applet-session ship
/usr/lib/bonobo/servers/GNOME_FastUserSwitchApplet.server

In Ubuntu, they seem to have resolved this by patching GDM to install
and use /usr/lib/bonobo/servers/GNOME_FastUserSwitchAppletGdm.server
instead. GDM in Ubuntu also doesn't provide fast-user-switch-applet.

See: https://bugs.edge.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gdm/+bug/410498

This seems a bit unfortunate. I'm not sure why they would apply a
patch to GDM which will probably not be accepted upstream when they
control the upstream of indicator-applet-session. It seems like they
could have better fixed this there.

I doubt we can/should take the same approach in Debian. Perhaps we
could patch indicator-applet-session use
/usr/lib/bonobo/servers/GNOME_FastUserSwitchIndicator.server or
something. Any other ideas?
