found 580910 6.0.472.36~r55963-1 thanks This bug still appears in 6.0.472.36~r55963-1 . I installed that version, removed all existing configuration I had, and started Chromium. Under Options -> Under the Hood -> Change font and language settings, the default fonts still showed up as Times New Roman, Arial, and sans.
