#If you: /etc/init.d/slapd stop #then do dpkg-reconfigure slapd #and in another terminal do: mv /etc/ldap/slapd.d /etc/ldap/slapd.d_old #you can then finish the reconfiguration #then you can finish up with /etc/init.d/slapd stop slapindex && chown -R openldap:openldap /var/lib/ldap /etc/init.d/slapd start #and ldap seems to work nicely from there on out :)
