Package: mailscanner Version: 4.79.11-2 Hi!
Here is the description of a possible bug introduced with 4.79.11-2. I use Mailscanner with Exim on an uptodate Lenny box. I upgraded to Mailscanner 4.79.11-2~bpo50+1. Previously I was running 4.74.16 without problem. Since the upgrade, I found many -DOUTGOING process stacked in the system. /usr/sbin/exim4 -oP /var/run/exim4/eximqr.pid -q30m -DOUTGOING More the time pass, more I found process stacked. More traffic is also equal to more stacked process. My box run 100K message per day. On paniclog I also found: socket bind() to port 25 for address (any IPv6) failed: Address already in use: daemon abandoned Just to verify, I upgraded Exim to the last 4.72-1. No change. I also tried without ipv6 support in Exim, no change too. The message in paniclog is just replaced with ipv4. I'm trying to figure where come from this new problem but not cached yet.
