Package: aptitude Version: 0.6.3-3.1 Severity: normal Hello,
(This might be related to bug#589775, or it could be a bug in libboost, but I'm not sure.) aptitude abborts (SIGABRT) every time I edit the search pattern using '~' (Tilde). It is perfectly reproducable here in two different ways: I. 1. start aptitude in CLI whithout options 2. press / to edit search pattern 3. press ~ (Tilde) abborts instantly II. 1. start aptitude in CLI whithout options 2. search for broken packages using b 3. press / to edit search pattern 4. now it doesn't matter if I press ~ or I use the Backspace key to delete the given pattern all this results in this output: ----------------------------------- aptitude: /usr/include/boost/smart_ptr/scoped_ptr.hpp:91: T& boost::scoped_ptr<T>::operator*() const [with T = Xapian::Database]: Assertion `px != 0' failed. Ouch! Got SIGABRT, dying.. ----------------------------------- I can put in a strace if it is helpfull. Thanks.
