A workaround to this problem is to start APT/dpkg with
MALLPC_CHECK_=0 in the environment:

  MALLOC_CHECK_=0 dpkg --configure -a

Invalid/expired PGP (sub)keys? Use subkeys.pgp.net as keyserver!
