I think tis is good idea.  Commited for all languages except French
where no "Linux" existed.  In italian, GNU/Linux was used and dropped.

I agree.

I kept "Well, if you are a real novice on Linux, it is hard, but if ..."
as is since whoever uses Debian/HURD, Debian/kfreebsd are all experts.
