It contains xorg because one of the deb packages included lists it as source: Package: libglu1-xorg Architecture: all Version: 1:7.5+7 Source: xorg Description: transitional package for Debian etch This package is provided to smooth upgrades from Debian 3.1 ("sarge") to Debian etch. It may be safely removed from your system. I guess that can be savely removed. Makes no sense in ia32-libs. :) The real package (libglu1-mesa) is already included. Fixed in git. > Why does this build-depend on a bunch of biarch libs, since aiui it's > not actually building anything? It does run dpkg-shlibdeps to get the right versioned depends on the biarch libs. Without the libs dpkg-shlibsdeps complains and the depends would be incomplete. So those are intentional and required. Note that on ia64 it depends on ia32-libs-core for the same reason. > The source package includes a bunch of debhelper log files and substvars > for lib32gcc1. Not from my side. Must be cruft left from an earlier version on Fredericks side. Seems that debhelper only removes those files for packages in debian/control and they aren't tracked in git. So nothing would have removed them when updating the source with "git pull". Filing bug against lintian to warn about them. > the fix-la thing is made of ugly.. Seems to work and is simple. I didn't want to write a whole *.la file parser just to change the libdir. Patch welcome if you know something better. > Cheers, > Julien Updating the package (from 20100919) also updates: New source isdnutils 1:3.9.20060704+dfsg.1-3 New source openldap 2.4.23-6 [ isdnutils (1:3.9.20060704+dfsg.1-3) unstable; urgency=low ] * QA upload. * Replace tcl8.3-dev Build Dependency with tcl-dev (#590651).
