it would be nice to have a side-by-side view of the differences between the
Debian maintainer's conffile and the current version of that conffile on
the host.
I imagine that you could insert a new menu item in ucf for this, so that
sdiff could be called from within your program.
Granted, something similar is already possible by starting "a new shell to
examine the situation" and running sdiff manually from there, but I think
that it would be easier to edit the diff between those two files directly
and then afterwards replace the current conffile with the merged version.
If you don't object to this feature, I would take a look at ucf's code and
try to come up with a patch. In case you don't want to include such
funtionality, feel free to close this bug. I won't prepare a patch then ;-)
