Package: mdetect

Hello,
when I'm running mdetect (or mdetect -x as xserver-{xfree86,xorg} do),
my mouse doesn't work anymore afterwards. The mouse cursor remains in
the upper right corner after it. I have to restart gpm to get the mouse
back and working again.
Things that probably help to isolate that issue:
* Cheap standard Logitech optical wheelmouse
* Kernel 2.4.27
* /usr/sbin/gpm -m /dev/psaux -t imps2 -r 32
* mdetect on console
* no gpm error messages, neither before stop nor before start afterwards
