Package: wget Version: 1.12-2.1 Severity: normal *** Please type your report below this line ***
Hi, If you run a line like this: ssh r...@localhost wget --limit-rate=1k http://releases.ubuntu.com/9.04/ubuntu-9.04-desktop-i386.iso And then wait for the download to start, And then press Ctrl+C Then the SSH session terminates (as expected), but the wget session continues running in the background on the host, instead of terminating. I think this might be caused by wget ignoring the SIGPIPE signal when ssh terminates. -- System Information: Debian Release: squeeze/sid APT prefers oldstable APT policy: (500, 'oldstable'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'testing'), (500, 'stable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.32-5-686 (SMP w/2 CPU cores) Locale: LANG=en_ZA.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_ZA.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Versions of packages wget depends on: ii dpkg 1.15.8.5 Debian package management system ii install-info 4.13a.dfsg.1-5 Manage installed documentation in ii libc6 2.11.2-6 Embedded GNU C Library: Shared lib ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8o-2 SSL shared libraries wget recommends no packages. wget suggests no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [email protected] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
