I also had something ugly in mind, like including French manpages in the
debian/ directory in order to overwrite the upstream ones using a dh
rule or something similar, but didn't give it more thought. Sorry for
the extra work.

Thanks a lot for the concern: since there were some changes in man-db
manual pages during the last five years, I really believe it's best to
include an accurate translation of them, especially in this package that
is kind of reference in manual pages ;-).
