I hope to do it this weekend.@Moritz: You are welcome to try fix more bugs using patching. What I intend to do, however, is to package the new release and try convince the release team to ship that instead, as that is IMO much more reliable than carrying the large pile of backported patches. If it takes time for the new upstram release to mature, I will try convince to switch in a point release.
