Hello! I just wanted to acknowledge having seen the bug report. I haven't had a chance to look at it yet, but I will. I noticed that you are also following an upstream bug report that may be related. In any case, I'll look into it and either link the debian report to an upstream report or create a new one. Upstream development on the tiff libraries is very slow these days.
